Keeper of the Craft – ROUND 1

added on June 11

We’ve been nominated to win DRAFT Magazine‘s Keeper of the Craft competition! Vote for us as the best bar to host Pilsner Urquell’s 172nd birthday cask celebration. Round 1 of voting ends on June 15. We are going head-to-head with beer bars around the country. CFB is on page 20 of the voting link.

Registered voters are automatically entered to win a Micromatic Freedom Kegerator, a battery powered commercial grade draft system to deliver beer where ever you want it.

More info on the competition:

“In Czech, bartenders often have their own tap, which they unscrew at night and take home with them. In our country, how beer is poured is as important as how it’s brewed. To celebrate the symbiotic relationship between bars, bartenders and beer lovers, Pilsner Urquell is partnering with DRAFT Magazine to search for the best bar and bartender to share its 172nd birthday with.

We’re looking for three things:

Product Knowledge
Use of the appropriate tools (Glassware Rinser, Pilsner Style Glass, Beer Coaster)
Tap skills

Pilsner Urquell Brewmaster, Vaclav Berka, will brew a limited release anniversary batch on October 5th, (the official brewing anniversary date) and will then ship the unfiltered beer back to the US in an oak cask, so beer lovers across the country including at the winning bar can enjoy it on November 11th (the official pouring anniversary date).”
